Fan comes on, I drove it today and it was usually around the halfway mark. It went slightly over it a few times, but I''ve been told the reason is the the compressor, which is dying, is causing the engine to work hard. I plan to get it replaced soon.
Anyway, here''s some photos of the beast (mos of them, besides the badge photos were before I washed it). Needs a matching set of hubcaps...
I''ve been fixing little things here and there, today I replaced the sun visor holders.

Nice ride brother, you got a good deal on a clean car. these car are well known for 250-350K miles! I have 268K on mine and it is running strong and the compression is great still. These are some of the best motors ever built. I have a 1998 MGM

well an old trick is to run a smaller belt on it. bypass the compressor and see if it runs cooler. you would have to measure it with a piece of string and measure it up to one at the parts store.
A new compressor is expensive and you would have to get it fully charged. a different belt is 12 bucks and it is a small investment to make sure that it is the problem

Not sure why but sometimes this forum won''''t let me post a reply if it''''s longer than a short sentence. when I hit reply or preview it shows up as blank. It''''s extremely annoying.
