My headlights will randomly turn on and off rapidly. It does it worse on high beams. In know the newer cars had thos issue with the LCM but I'm not seeing that my car has one. Could this issue be my daytime running light model under the good.

 

I had the same issue with the famous 95 MERC restoration.
Fixed the problem with a new aftermarket headlight switch from Amazon.com.
Part # -- REPF 108905 - Head Lamp Switch
The new switch comes with a BLACK faceplate -- Before installing, I swapped the new one with the original faceplate, so it matches the dashboard color perfectly.
Easy job -- take your time and work carefully.

I think I have it fixed. Pulled the switch and someone had done some shotty wiring in the factory connector. Replace switch and connector harness. So far so good
