98 Grand Marquis - check engine light on.
#1
I took it to autozone and it came up with error code PO442 which came back as EVAP small leak/no flow condition.
It has 140K on it and runs great otherwise. The light came on last year around 110K and I took it to autozone to code it, came back as the O2 sensor. I replaced those myself and it went off. upon inspection of the sensors, the wires had wore through and were shorting out on the under body.
This new error seems a bit vague... anyone have any input?

It ended up being a pump that pressurizes the tank on start up to check for leaks. I want to say it cost me around $100 to get it fixed. But that was a couple months ago... and I had more work done recently on it that erased that one from my mind.
The most recent repair was an HVAC issue. The heat was stuck on and there was a constant CLICK CLICK CLICK sound. That one cost me $750 to fix... and 3 return trips to the shop to fix other stuff that they goofed up on. It was a servo motor that controlled the air mix door.
