Question Alterative Batter Cable Assembly Option

Hello All,

I have a 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis LS. I've been looking for replacement battery cables but it appears the part is discontinued (obviously) but i just want to ask around to see if what other people may have used as a replacement. This appears to be the correct part # for what i am looking for below

Motorcraft 8W7Z14300AB - Part WC96079

I know many sites I have viewed show pretty much similar looking part for the F-150s or other ford vehicles. I should be able to interchange those right? just want to make sure I get it right

Thanks for any help

Jose

It seems nobody has old stock around anymore. You might have to find someone who can solder on new connectors and repair what you have.Other possibilities would involve changing battery to match a cable from another model or year that is still available, not your best option. You could go hunting at a boneyard which has a 2008 G.M. or other model utilizing that same cable. This site might help locating a boneyard.Don't search for the cable but look for a 2008 G.M. which is resting in peace at a boneyard and go from there. Good luck.

It's a shame -- folks don't hang around the Mercury Forums much -- too many ads for Middle-Eastern ****** and Gambling fools, with the ***** ads being the worst.
