Owned a 1994 GM for seven great years and am waiting to pick up my new 2003 GM Ultimate with 45,000 miles on it. The car is spotless inside and out, looks new and I can hardly believe it is mine. Got it for 10,000 dollars and feel like a stole it! The car was truely owned by an older lady who has passed on and kept it perfectly maintained (all the receipts are in it) and garaged. Question, I loved my first GM and am hoping others here can tell me what to expect with my new purchase. Thanks for the great forum! Ken

Have only been in the car for five minutes and did not have chance to check out any bells or whistles on the interior. Do not know what is included, what options are in it. My previous GM was not an Ultimate, just a LS. The only thing I remember is when I hoped into the drivers seat it felt like sitting on a cloud, never felt so great a drivers seat. The husband of the only previous owner is now 80 and has alzheimers; he roomed with Whitey Ford while pitching with the Yankees before hurting his arm.

I keep up with 2 pool cars at work (coal mining company). One is a 03 Crown Vic. It has 130k on it and has held up remarkably well. It has been driven hard in the dust and dirt. I use simple green degreaser to clean the leather seats (lol). It has missed more that a few oil changes, but gets regular ones now that I take care of it. 5000 miles after an oil change the oil is still clean ! It still rides well and the engine is smooth as silk.

The tranny got a little jerky for a while but a good flushing helped that out. Keep the fluid clean and be SURE to use only Ford fluid, NO generic brand, that is critical to smooth operation.

Reasonable care and it will last a LOOOOONG time....enjoy......

BTW, don't YOU use simple green on the seats, I have to because it gets so much abuse.....
