my car started stalling at red lights occasionally, so i decided to change the spark plugs, along with the wires.


ill start the car and let it run for a few mins but as soon as i put it in drive, about 5-10 seconds later the check engine light along with oil light and battery light comes on and the car stalls, but the electrical doesn''t shut off.


right before this happened, this is what happened:


changed positive battery terminal


changed spark plugs (didn''t gap them) and wires

 

if they are normal plugs, you HAVE to gap them. Otherwise you WILL have this problem. You should also check the battery terminal crimps to make sure they are really good and tight to the wires. if there is the slightest bit of slack on the wires (even if they don''t move when you wiggle them) you will not be getting good contact.

also double check that the wires are snapped in place at each end. if the wires are not fully connected, you will have misfires.
