hey guys,


My check engine light has been comming on. it flases rapidly then turns off for about 10 minutes. this car is my dailt driver and it was a ex cop car. the obd2 connection was disected when they took the police stuiff off.


Does a flashing light mean a emissions or something that is not huge. I have had lights come one before but they never flashed like this and they usually stayed on. this one flases and the turns off.

 

.I think I found it.the servicemanual says it is a engine misfire when this happens.


is there anything besides the coils that will cause a misfire? The car has a trans shutter, will this cause the misfire code to go off? or is it just a faulty coil?
