Here's a great How To video that will show you how to repair the front wheel bearing hub assembly on your 98-02 Mercury Grand Marquis.

I watched that video twice, and couldn't believe that someone went to all that trouble to make a video of such sloppy work.
No decent mechanic would put a piece of pipe on a ratchet wrench to get more leverage. A 1/2" Breaker Bar is the correct tool.
New hub assembly was put on DRY insteaad of lubing the spindle and hub with synthetic motor oil.
Caliper and caliper bracket were put back on without a thorough cleaning and an application of brake grease to the contact points of the brake pads and slide surfaces.
Genuine Grand Marquis shop manual says spindle nuts/retainers are NOT to be re-used.
Video assumes that Joe Average has a lift, an air wrench, and an air compressor.
Some say that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.
I agree.
