I was trying to sum up what it is about:

eBay auction for driver side fog light, brand new, with bracket, no bids, over in a little over 1 day, about $20 including shipping.

Better getting 1 cheap than 2 for the dealer price. Good things take time, here's a way to start. Some of us are looking for something like that.

Now I need one for the (left) drivers side! 2006 MGM.

Yep. I spotted the fog the day it was posted and just waited. I did expect more bids.

Yep, people just want it all, and are not willing to pay for it.

You got yourself a good deal. Even if you buy the other one from the dealer, you will safe a ton of money. You might even run across one on the junkyard.

I'm curious: Do you have the openings in your bumper already, maybe covered with a placeholder?

Yes. I purchased a Hertz rental from the local Ford dealer and the fog lamps were deleted. I have two black panels covering the location in the bumper where they go. I will have to add ALL wiring, connectors, relays, fuseand the light switch. I will just add the components as I gather them.

I see, thanks for the info.

Are you sure about the wiring? I added fog light to a Taurus before, and the wiring was completely there. Connectors behind the bumper and the placeholder in the dash. Just had to plug in lights and switch, worked right away.

Someone told me before that the manufacturer would usually use the same wiring, as it is cheaper to them all the same than running different productions. Would make sense, the leftovers could be huge!

Now, on the Taurus, the plug behind the dash was extremely hard to find. The harness was actually folded backward (facing away from the placeholder) and wire-tied to another one. We ended up taking off the knee bolster to access them, untangle and redirect.

Greetings!

Pretty sure the wiring is not there. I cannot find any dangling connectors for the lights. Not sure about the light switch to LCM wiring. The relay socket has no terminals in it. It will be a while before I start the installation. I will keep you updated as I make progress.

Well, here's the light switch, and if you ask nicely, they might even pull some of the wiring off the car (2001):

Thanks but that one doesn't look like the on on my car. Looks a bit dirty too!
