Default New member with problem

Hi, I am a new member to this forum. I have an '02 Grand Marquis. A day or two after the tornados that hit us here in Alabama (thank God my family was spared) I noticed the front and rear floor boards on the passenger side was full of water. We cleaned it up, dried it out and all was ok. This afternoon as I was starting to drive the car, I noticed once again that the same floor boards was wet. It had rained again Tuesday of this week. We cleaned it up and after a little looking, I poured a little water in the space just below the windshield wipers on the outside on the passenger side, this is where the water is coming in. I saw it hit my floorboard and pulled the glove box and noticed it dripping out of some kind of filter screen. does anyone have an idea on how I can fix this leak? Its is definitely not antifreeze. Thanks for your advice.

Well, welcome new member.

I think you have to provide a tad more information. And without knowing the history of car and the history of issues then:

Buy a caulking gun and put some caulk where the hole is.

Got my problem fixed. A buddy of mine who is a mechanic came up from Florida and I asked him about it. He told me how to repair it. I removed the fresh air/vent fan motor, ran a wire down the drain hole from inside the housing for the motor. Evidently with so much rain from the tornados a lot of trash blew on the car causing the drain hole to clog making the water overflow into the fresh air intake.

Yes, and it quite quiet at the Saturn forum also. Sad to see that when a make goes dead the activity goes way down on forums.

Oh, well, at least some do come here for a visit.
