Hi.. I just finished with a complete rebuild of the engine and it did start earlier and I drove it a few miles. It did fine, now when I got it back home and shut it off for a few minutes, went to start it up to adjust the idle screw on the carb I heard a pop and saw smoke from the area on the passenger side front near the battery right next to the starter solenoid.

The car is a 1985 Mercury Grand Marquis with the 5.0L 302 V8.. please help...

I think it might be a fusible link but I can't find out which one?
