I have problem access the 6th and 7th spark plugs in 96 Mercury Grand Marquis. The V8 engine has spark plugs positioned:

4 8

3 center 7

2 6

1 5

The 6th and 7th are under the Air filter hose. And there is a cover in
the center, make it inaccessible from above. I tried to take out the
cover, but failed to detach it from the hose.

While my Haynes manual shows Crown Victoria model is much easier to
access the spark plug because there is no cover above. I am wondering
if anybody has the experience replacing the spark plugs in Grand
Marquis.
