Does anyone know why my radio works perfectly for a few minutes most times I start the car, then just loses reception (hisses)? I have tried disconnecting the battery for a few minutes ro re-boot the radio and it gave some temporary relief, then returned to its "misbehaviour" mode.

I had the same problem in my 99. The antenna wire in the headliner leading to the rear window was cracked causing a short.
