Spark Plug Toque
Hello every body Im new to this forum I have a 97 MGM with 94000 mi and would like to replace my spark plugs & wires and I had been looking on this forum about the spark plugs but no toque specks.I also see that it is good to use the antiseze on the plug to.The plugs I would like to use is the Autolite APP104 Dub Plm is that the plug that you would use and Im looking at the Motorcraft wire set is that what you would go with.Please help Brokwing

I replaced mine with regular autolite resistor plugs. with a stock engine, you should run stock style plugs unless you're planning on upgrading more than just the bog standard stuff (fresh air intake and dual exhaust). as for torque specs, I don't think I've ever check the specs. I just make them good and snug. Typically it's a quarter turn past snug.

I recall 10 to 13 ft lbs as the spark plug torque spec, but I caution using that spec with anti sieze compound.
I recommend using anti sieze, but a very small amount. I think I used 7 ft lbs of torque when I did this job on my old Crown Vic.
AutoLite double plat plugs are very good for the 4.6l V8.
