I have a 2003 grand marquis that I have been trying to get the a/c working on.

I've replaced the blend door actuator and it has good vacuum with no leaks.

It's still running code 051 and will only blow thru the defrost vents. I went to remove the "sunload sensor", not sure if this is the correct term as I cannot find a replacement anywhere, but it fell apart as I was taking it off.

I have attached pictures of the piece that stayed intact.




Two questions:

Is there another area I need to look at to fix the air being stuck on defrost?

What is the actual name of the "sunload sensor" so I can find and purchase a replacement?
