Tire size
Hello I have a 2000 grand marquis with a tire size of 225 60r 16. Winter has been hell with my summer tires and a coworker offered a pair of free 225 70r 16 that he couldn’t return. Would these fit? From what I read the middle number would make the sidewall about inch wider.

The "225" is the WIDTH of the tire in millimeters.
The "60" is the height of the sidewall ratio.
The "R" indicates a Radial tire.
The "16" is the Rim diameter in Inches.
Both will fit on your Rims; both will have a similar contact patch.
The "70" size will have a slightly larger circumference, and will change the speedometer reading slightly.
If those 70s are near new, grab 'em !!
