Hi i have a 1990 mercury grand maquis 5.0 and im wanting to figure out what all transmissions interchange with this. My transmission upshifts early in 3rd and OD and is very slugish. Trying to figure out if a aod transmission out of a 1990 mustang gt 5.0 would work. Thanks in advance.

 

Transmissions should swap from one 5.0 engine to another 5.0 engine with no fit problems.
HOWEVER, you will need to check the shift linkages to make SURE that the linkages will fit and function BEFORE beginning the swap.
