can anyone tell me where the actual flasher is on my 2003 grand marquis? I have searched, and all i find is where the turn signal fuse is. I need to change the flasher relay itself to a heavy duty one. Thanks for your help.

 

If you live near an AUTOZONE store, take it there. Buy the flasher from them, and have them install it.
It's almost always FREE.
I've had the 95 MERC for 15 years, and I STILL don't know where the flasher is located.

There is no flasher. Turn signals are contolled by the lighting control module. Not a DIY project.

 

I just switched over to LED bulbs in the turn signal / marker lamps, and I am getting a fast flash. Should I switch back? or is there another solution?

 

Due to the low voltage of the LEDs, a resistor is added to the circuit in order to bring the flash to the proper duration.
Resistor Kits ( includes instructions) are available from Amazon.com . -- not expensive.
E-Z install -- no special tools or skills required.
