New to Mercury's!!

I have a 1966 Park Lane Breezeway 4 door sedan and would like to know if chrome, grill etc are interchangeable with other years. Are the part numbers for left and right identified with the last character - ie. A vs B?

Are electrical - power window switches, gauges etc. the same as a Ford or Lincoln?
I know the cosmetics would be different, but are the actual switches etc. the same.
