My dash lights will only work when the fog lights are on. I was involved in a rear end collision which did pretty good damage to the back which has been repaired and/or replaced. I always used the Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) with the autolamp control, so my dash lights came on automatically when it became dark. Now the only way to illuminate the dash is to use the fog lights. The body shop is telling me that it isn't accident related, funny since they worked fine, no problems, until the moment of impact. The mechanics theory is since it was a rear end collision, it shouldn't affect the dash lights at all. Anyone have info on this, I would appreciate it.

Thanks for responding, the SUV has auto lamps, yes if you are referring to the DRL which automatically illuminate when it gets dark outside. I will get back with the build date when I get my vehicle back from the shop, where they are attempting to figure the whole thing out....
