2002 Mountaineer * HELP * Won’t Turn Over
#1
The vehicle was running fine. I parked it and went out 2 hours later. The electrical system comes on, but the car won't turn over. It's as if the key is no longer coded or something. I have a very strong battery. Any ideas? Edited by: vasurveyor

Just to let all know. This was a starter wire problem. The dealer had to replace the wire to the starter. I had a bad (shorted ) cell in the battery that burnt the wire. This doesn't really make sense to me because I had full electrical power and never smelled any burning wires or components. It sounds to me like the wire just came loose, but they had to justify the $300 dollarsfor labor and a new battery.
Thanks for your replies.
