2005 Mercury mountaineer A/C question
I just purchased a used 2005 Mercury Mountaineer. It was very clean and a mechanic I had looked it over said it was in great shape. After driving it for a week, I am not quite sure that I am happy with the performance of the air conditioning, especially compared to my 1998 Explorer.
I notice after work when I get in to drive home, the vehicle is not overly hot. It has leather seats which I am not used to. I get in, start it up, and turn on the a/c. On the max fan speed (4) it is louder than I would expect, but it does not seem to blow out a great distance. My kid in the back seat says it's too loud. I have to put my hand withing 12 inches of the vent to really feel it. It is blowing cool/cold air, but I can tell by damp pants that I wish it were cooler.
Does this sound normal?
