Hey i have a 97 mountaineer and i absolutely love it.

I recently replaced the radiator and radiator fan in it. I ended up saving a lot of money buy doing it myself and buying the radiator from a salvage yard. I now have noticed a faint ticking noise coming from my front driver side tire. When i step on the gas hard where a lot of torque is put to the tires, i hear a very loud *clunk* from underneath. I replaced the front driveshaft less than 1,000 miles ago, so i know there is no slipping there. I was wondering what could be causing this noise. Do you think it could be something that i could replace myself?

Thanks a lot.

I would go through and check to make sure everything is tight in the suspension.
