Post Climate control out of control

Yesterday the blower was constantly on and would not shut off or slow down. Today the blower is still on high speed but can be shut down by using the manual switch to slow down. The blower doesn't slow down but now shuts off. So much for auto climate control. Any ideas out there?
Thanks

Hello Slymer, thanks for this. We are having the same issue with a 2003 Sable GS.
It blows on high only. Following your threads, I should be able to fix the problem.

I do have one question, do you have any photo's of where to find the resister in the car? Or even a description/directions on how to find it?

Thanks,
Rod

no pics, especially since I have a Grand Marquis and not a sable, but you should look on the passenger side of the firewall just to the right of the heater hoses. It should be in that area. It may be very difficult to get to considering the extreme lack of space in that engine bay.
