Just changed the oil on my 2000 Mountaineer, started the engine and lost most of the oil at the filter. Thought the filter had cracked and replaced it, added more oil, and lost another 2-3 quarts of oil. What a mess. Cannot see what the problem is but i suspect there is a crack in the housing holding the filter. Any comments? Is there a replacement?
