Hey all glad to be here!





We have an opportunity to buy a 1998 Mountaineer with everything but elec air controls with only 134,000 miles for $4500.00.





Are there any know problems I should look into before we depart with our check?


We are going to drive it Saturday am.





Only know problems are brakes squeel off and on, New pads were just put on so I believe that is that problem. Have had explorer with same problem after brake job. CD display comes and goes heard there is a fix for that. And check engine light is on for broken EGR sensor (Don't know how hard that fix is yet.





Any info would be greatly appreciated. Truck looks great no dings bangs or gouges.

they are very solid reliable vehicles. Sounds like a good deal even if you have to put a thousand or so into it getting the few problems fixed as long as its in good condition i would go for it..
