I am looking for a supercharger for my 97 mountaineer, not those stupid electric ones.
if anyone has any ideas as to what brand, or a good place to look, please let me know.
I am having trouble finding anything that will bolt up without much mods.

you might try looking for the same year explorer (though some nose/hood mods may need to be made for clearance issues). The engines should be the same for your specific model year. You may also need to search by engine type instead of model. You will have to double check all clearances to make sure it will fit.

www.summitracing.com is a good place to start looking. Once you get an idea of what you need to search for, try google.

 

Procharger.com has a kit for the 97-03 4.6L. From my experience there customer service is great too so give them a call or shoot them an email.
