1964 Mercury 390 engine PCV Setup Issues
Hi Everyone,
I recently acquired a 1964 Mercury Parklane with a 390. After looking under the hood I believe it has an aftermarket Edelbrock intake manifold, Carb and edelbrock valve covers with breathers.
I noticed this looks nothing like what the factory setup is suppose to look like when these rolled off the assembly lines.
Was just looking for some insight on what I could do to correct this setup?
1.Possibly remove the driver side breather and run a pcv hose from the valve cover to the air filter on top of the carburetor and keep the passenger side breather so there is a complete cycle of air going through?
2. other option run a pcv hose from the back of the carb to the driver side valve cover?
Any recommendations would be great, thank you in advance.
