I have a 1994 Mercury Capri that I have not been able to run in the last year due to health issues with myself and my wife. The car has always been in good working order but we had it in the garage and a mouse got into the tale pipe and nested. When I started it up, it ran for a little while (several minutes) and we noticed nesting materials being blown out of the tale pipe. The car stalled and we have not been able to get it to start again. Is it possible that the nesting got into the muffler and would that stop it from starting. My mechanic thinks this is doubtful. We had a new stainless steel gas tank, and complete exhaust system put on this 2 years ago and it has not been driven over 200 or 300 miles since then.
Could it be a fuel line issue?
