I have a 1999 mountaineer that has refused to start after having been driven to the place without problems. On diagnosing I get the informations below.


SCP is missing


Key communication with pcm codes...


Please I would like to know what to do about the scp message.


I bought pats2 keys and tried programming the keys but always got the SCP message. Any suggestions please.????

BTW: Besides other issues, if you have the 2nd generation transponder key, you have to have 2 original keys in order to program any other (a third one). 4 is the maximum.


If you have only 1 key left, you have to have the dealer program it.
