Exhaust for '10 Mariner

Exhaust for '10 Mariner
I have a '10 Mariner Premier 4 cyl FWD that has some holes in the exhaust...no more Mercury dealer to repair the car, and I've been told that Ford Escape parts won't work...can anyone verify if that is true? If so any suggestions on what to do for repair...thanks.
