My first Grand Marquis was and 1998 LS. It had 32000 miles on the clock and was in mint condition. Sadly, a young girl pulled out in front of me and the car was totaled in 2015. I was able to replace it with a 2000 GS but found a 2005 LS a couple months ago that I couldn't pass up it was in such perfect condition. I had reconditioned the alloys on the 2000 and had them painted black so I decided to replace the steel wheels on the 2005 with those black alloys. The results of that swap was incredible! The offsets on the alloys was different so the track is wider and the '05 now rides and handles more like a sports car than a luxury sedan. One problem however... the tires now sit a little outside the fender wells and splash mud on the quarter panels. I need mud guards, but the ones I ordered online that were supposed to fit did not and I can't find ones that will. I've posted a query here in the "Grand Marquis" section hoping that one of my fellow Grand Marquis brothers can help.
