I am bourn Icelandic, been living in Norway for the past 22 years [img]smileys/smiley5.gif[/img]
Just bought my first Cougar 70, with 351 - V4 cleveland, a Houndstooth
car from Arisona. No rust, nice car, but have a engine problems [img]smileys/smiley11.gif[/img] .
In behind of the car it sounds terrible, not a V8?? No tork, dies when put
in drive [img]smileys/smiley6.gif[/img] it hesitates when accelerating, and does not have 300hp.. [img]smileys/smiley19.gif[/img]
What I have done is:
New timing kit, new Holley 600 carb, electronic ignition, new plugs, wires
cap and rotor. New air-filter. Still not happy... I was woundering about
the cam, how does a 351 sound when the cam is going bad? The engine
looks and feels tight and fine, no smok and no wind thru the valve covers.
Please advice someone, excuse my english, I only learned it from
american movies [img]smileys/smiley12.gif[/img]
