hi all bought my frist mgm a year ago and loven it even with a few issues ...think my mgm has a bearing going in the rear diff is this a commen issue with this cars?Edited by: ramit98

it''s probably the wheel hub bearings. Usually the differentials will last a good 200K miles easy if you keep them oiled. Wheel bearings are a common issue on high mileage vehicles, and easily replaced.

well the noise coming from the rear ended up being a chiped axle..its got a small chip on it rite where the outter bearing rides on the axle
|
wow... I''ve never heard of that happening to any vehicle. broken axles, shredded gears, broken teeth, etc, but never a chipped axle. Hope it doesn''t cost you too much to fix it.

i had a dodge truck had the same thing happen to it ....dont know the cuase going to be around $400 cdn and well its in doing trans flush too total just under $600 cdn
