hi all bought my frist mgm a year ago and loven it even with a few issues ...think my mgm has a bearing going in the rear diff is this a commen issue with this cars?Edited by: ramit98

it''s probably the wheel hub bearings. Usually the differentials will last a good 200K miles easy if you keep them oiled. Wheel bearings are a common issue on high mileage vehicles, and easily replaced.

well the noise coming from the rear ended up being a chiped axle..its got a small chip on it rite where the outter bearing rides on the axle

wow... I''ve never heard of that happening to any vehicle. broken axles, shredded gears, broken teeth, etc, but never a chipped axle. Hope it doesn''t cost you too much to fix it.

i had a dodge truck had the same thing happen to it ....dont know the cuase going to be around $400 cdn and well its in doing trans flush too total just under $600 cdn
