Just bought my first Mercury and thought I'd pop in and introduce myself.

BTW, Does anyone know how to trun off the damn seat belt minder? I tried the instructions in the owner's manual to buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt nine times and it only works until I shut the car down and start it up again.

 

Locate the wire(s) that come from the seat belt. Cut the wires. Problem solved.
