Hood advice. Got chipping paint in center of my 2009 hood. Is it best to get painted, or buy a hood from a salvage yard??

In my view, it would be faster, cheaper, and easier to just sand and shoot the hood.
Finding a hood that paint-matches yours, and the delivery cost, the labor to mount the new hood, and the time involved seems to make the hood replacement a bad idea, when compared to the cost of masking and shooting just the hood.
