Default $150. - spark plug change ??

My out-of-state Niece emailed me that her
95 Merc Grand Marquis LS - 87,000 mi.- Interceptor V8
misses occasionally and a garage told her it was a spark plug,
and would cost $150. labor to replace eight.

What must be done to cost so much?
My 1956 Ford Crown Victoria V8 only costs $20.

had a 1992 Grand Marquis with the 4.6L and it cost $56 dollars alone for me to by the wires... now figure in the mark up from a shop, plus the price of plugs and roughly shop fee of $80 per hour labor... that would seem to fit what you say... the 4.6L is more expensive to work on for stuff and reason i have a 5.0L again instead of choosing another panther platform with the 4.6 L since ours was totaled by careless driver *** ending us at a stop light... the car still ran and drove, and only needed the plastic bumper cover replaced in the rear but insurance considered it totaled and took the car...
