Car came with the cassette deck and automatic climate controls. Wanted to upgrade to the factory cd player (not the premium system/mach) but it appears(that I can find anyway) you only got manual climate controls with the cd player. I don't have a problem with the manual controls but wasn't sure if that unit would work or if the wiring was different.
Anybody done this?

 

I vote for save the hassle, get a portable CD player (or mp3 player for that matter) and a cassette adapter.

I think the major difference between the manual and automatic controls is a few cables and vacuum lines (I could be way off base though). but changing the climate control system would entail taking most if not all of the dash out of the car to get at all the parts that would need swapping out.
