2001 Sable LS. The console has the armrest that folds forward inorder to use the cup holders. We're missing something on the rear side at the floor. All we have is a hole. What's supposed to fit in there? Ash tray or cup holder? Is this still available from the dealer? Does anyone have a P/N for it?

I don't recall the vents on the back of our console. When it comes home today, i'll take a picture and try to post it here.

 

Finally got a chance to get a picture of our console. What goes in this hole at the floor on the rear of the console?

Hm, am studying my library, but haven't found one like that.


If there is no duct opening in it, than it wont be for a vent outlet, so I would guess ashtray. Check the owners' manual, it might tell you.

looks like a pop-out cup holder I have in the front of my '97. But my console has vents back there.
