Alright guys! I'm a newbie here. Names Shawn. Got some questions for ya'll. I hope you can answer them. Got a 2002 Mercury Sable 3.0L DOHC. Had some hesitation in it and then the #3 cylinder started misfiring. Changed Plugs and wires on it. Fixed the Misfire but still hesitates. By hesitation I mean normal accel it feels fine but I go 1/2 to full throttle and it seem like it has to catch up with itself. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I changed out the plugs and wires. Have sort of a new symptom today though. driving home and check engine light flashed for about a mile then went back off. basically was on while I was accelarating. So I am going to autozone to get the codes downloaded.

Update:

Went to Autozone. Bought a scantool. Tried to download the codes and none were present. So I had it hooked up and went for a drive. All my parameters look ok while driving. I got on it going down the highway and the Check me light came on. I downloaded the code and what do you know #3 cylinder Misfire again. Is the coil going bad since I just replaced the wires?
