Hit Deer, Airbag Replacement and Light Reset
2001 Sable......OK so daughters cruising down the road doing what daughters do, texting, doing hair, putting on makeup when a deer darts in front and she clips it. Not much damage, bent hood, cracked passenger side headlight, and blown passenger side airbag. Never replaced seat airbags, is it easier to replace the seat with a used one already in and good, or can I buy a replacement and have it installed? Since the bag is tripped to I need to check any sensors before trying to reset light. Speaking about resetting the light, how do I do that? Thanks yall

you'll have to replace all blown bags to get the light to go out most likely. to do that you'll have to remove power from the car (disconnect the negative battery cable) for at least 20-30 minutes before working on anything involving the airbag system. I'm not sure about the ease of replacing the seat stuff though. I've only ever dealt with driver side airbags (steering wheel only) vehicles.
