So I was just given a 93 mercury sable and it has a slight steering issue. when I am turning the steering wheel keeps jerking in the opposite direction i am turning?

what could cause this?

Definatly a front-end issue. Is it pulling the steering wheel the other way hard enough to where you can't hold it? Left and right turns? Any noise to go along w/the prob? Let us know and anything else that may be related.
