My girlfriend just purchased an 03 LS Premium and have noticed there is a tube piece extending from the front right hand section of the drivers seat. I understand there is a **** that is suppose to go here but what does it do? Also, what is it called. I want to see if I can come up with something on ebay. Thanks

I think what you are talking about is the lumbar support adjustment.

 

the owners manual will tell you exactly what it does. i have'97 but my lumbar supportis on the left and electric. maybe it is a lower seat extender for taller drivers?

Thanks for the help. I will have to take a look at the manual. She has had the car and I havent had a chance to look at it.

 

Yes, it is a for manual lumbar support. The **** should be round with indentations to make it easier to grasp. I don't imagine the part would be very expensive. i would check with your local dealer.

 

Just go to any local junk yard and you should find it no prob. Otherwise its probably a dealer item.
