Hello..After I start the car aand it runs for about 10 seconds a loud whinning sound is coming from the engine. it also happens when the car is idle but does not whine when you press on the accelerator. Need any advice. Thanks

 

ITS POSSIBLE ITS AB ELT WHEN YOU START THE CAR AND THE NOISE HAPPENS PUT DEFROST ON IF NOISE GOES AWAY HAVE BELT AND BELT TENSIONER CHECKED HOPE THIS HELPS

 

NO... not the belt
The steering pump is the problem, and when you press the gas paddle you get the steering pump run high and the sound seems to disappear but it actually not. Just running the steering pump higher will make the sound weaker.
