I have a 96 Villager w/83K miles- it has a rebuilt tranny with 20K on it after the previous owner blew out the original tranny. Have recently noticed on occasion that when transitioning to 3rd gear, the rpm's rev slightly and it seems to feel like it's shifted into neutral. When I let off the accelerator seems to settle back into 3rd gear ok. Doesn't happen every time I drive it- shifts fine in all the rest of the gears. Could this be a speed sensor for the transmission that's faulty? Thanks!
