Default Distributor Does Not Turn

My daughter has a '94 and it has been giving her problems the last few weeks. I Checked all fuses=good
Grounds good
Engine turns over but does not start (she drive it home last night)

I took the Dizzy cap off and the rotor does not spin when we turn the engine over.

I no nothing about these engines and not sure if this dizzy is electronic or ??

Any ideas,
Thanks,
Jim

Could be a broken distributor at the shaft....or broken timing belt. If its a timing belt, you can check each cylinder with a compression gauge to see if the pressure climbs... If the compression in each cylinder checks ok...then its probably not the timing belt. The rotor turns from the camshaft sprocket. My guess is if the rotor is fairly tight and can not be spun by hand...I would guess that the gearing is still tied to the camshaft. I would then focus on the timing belt. Good luck.
