If that does not work the cooling system passages may be clogged and need to be professionally cleand and possibly a by pass hose will need to be added to the cooling system. tanya33 03-23-2005, 01:14 AM the radiater fluid is filthy so i guess that is the problem MercAdvisor 03-23-2005, 01:15 AM I would definatly take it to a dealer and have it flushed and check for the possible by pass hose then tanya33 03-23-2005, 01:16 AM cant i flush it myself MercAdvisor 03-23-2005, 01:18 AM You can do that but if the vehicle needs that by pass hose the concern will return after sometime. tanya33 03-23-2005, 01:20 AM i dont think its the by pass hose i think its because its so durty its like a light brown with sh*t floating in it NOT OIL MercAdvisor 03-23-2005, 01:22 AM yeah then just try the flush and see what happens Windzer 03-25-2005, 07:25 PM May be the thermastat needs to be replaced? conan312 04-29-2005, 09:51 PM First of all, what fuse did you check? Second, the fan may be working but it is an electric fan. I would replace the coolant temp sensor. That will ensure the fan starts and stops at the proper temps. You could always run a straight wire to a toggle switch inside your car and when you come to alight or traffic you can turn the fan on and off yourself. Stay cool.
