got an 01 cougar 2.5L man. transmission and just replaced the engine with a brand new one. mechanics say that i need to get a new mount to keep the engine from torquing the transmission. the mount in question is called a torque mount or transitional mount. after two months of dealing with this the mechanics, my family and i can't find one of these mounts to save our lives. called detroit and they say they aren't even made. anyone ever had anything like this happen and suggestions on solving the issue. tried to chain the engine to the chassis but because of the mount location it would not work either.
