2001 Cougar won't start . . . .
Thanks in advance for any assistance....
Bought the car 3 months ago and it has been great car for my son. Battery tested at 99% Good at local parts store, replaced positive battery terminal as wire was split and only have connected, still nothing, lights and bells all work though. Is this a starter problem, fuse or what?
Thank you....NWSooner

definitely check the fuses (under the dash and under the hood). You may have also burned up the starter relay (though I don't know if that car only has one on the starter or another that's replaceable). Also, double check the engine grounding. I had one car once do this to me because a bolt came loose and dropped the engine ground cable from the engine. Once I reconnected that, everything worked. I don't have any clue where that would be on that car though. Happy hunting. Hope it's a simple fix.
